On Saturday I attended "Fashiontalk" at the Swedish Museum of Architecture, a discussion with renowned Swedish fashion journalist Lotta Lewenhaupt (check out her blog here). She talked about everything from Vogue covers to fashion critique, but mostly the discussion concerned the lack of criticism in Swedish fashion magazines. It was a very inspiring talk and I found myself in the mood for writing even more articles and reflect on different collections (especially the more arty).
Fashionplay who organizes everything, wants to create a new platform for "fashion art" to be shown and gain recognition for designers who aren't only commercial successful.
Afterwards I visited Fashionshop an exhibit at the museum with works from 15 artists all from the alternative fashion scene. See the creations below:
Minna Plamqvist have created this corset "Fill me in", as you can see she has added fat. She wants to highlight everybody's intense combat against fatness.
