This Sunday we took a trip to Coronado island where the famous Hotel del Coronado is located. It is one of the few surviving examples of an American architectural genre, the wooden Victorian beach resort. It looks like a stunning palace situated on a beautiful beach. Lucky us we got to witness something special; the hotel had built an ice-rink where people could skate under the shade of palm trees.
